The Word Factory
The beating heart of literacy teaching in
the first primary school in Scotland to be awarded the status.
"an excellent school".
The Word Factory
Learn to read and write with The Word Factory.
Our aim is to have every child in primary school, with rare exceptions, reading to ability.
The Word Factory teaches step by step and each step is tested so no child moves on without proven competency. No one gets left behind.

A Teaching Aid
Its unique, reliable structure is ideal for children with dyslexia and its visual approach is ideal for children with autism.
Its uncluttered format is helpful and children who need more time can have it; they will be making steady progress.
I introduced The Word Factory to my school because I knew it would work.
